My podcast guests this week will be Bob Barnett, Kansas City project leader for Healing Waters, and Mike Davis, OIF Veteran and Healing Water participant, and Bruce Storts, Vietnam Vet and Healing Waters volunteer.

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc.™ is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings.

How can fishing benefit disabled veterans? And what is the difference between fly fishing and regular, bait-casting fishing? And which type of trout is more therapeutic, Brook Trout, German Browns or Rainbow Trout? Is there such thing as a "service trout"? And what is all this business about fly tying? What kind of sick bastard would want to tie up a tiny, defenseless fly? Sounds like a weird fetish to me. And where does Healing Waters operate? Oh, and how the heck do I get involved? Ever since seeing the movie “A River Runs Through It” I have wanted to stand in a river and cast fly-line loops big enough to fly a plane through.

Listen in and find out the answers to all these and any other questions.
