Tune in to tonight's show at 9pm Est. Call in and ask questions at 646-716-8075 MOTHER'S BROTHER HOUR IS HONORED TO PRESENT: MIKE CUBBAGE ARMY MIKE I spent almost a decade on active duty with the United States Army Airborne Infantry. Serving with 1st Special Warfare Group, JFKSWC, Charlie Co, 3/187 “Iron Rakkasans,” Easy Co, 2/506 Currahee “Band of Brothers,” Delta Co, 1/19, “Rock of Chickimuaga, “US Army Cadet Command,” and Temple University ROTC “Subway Warriors.” During that time I served as a special forces trainee, automatic machine gunner, team leader, squad designated marksman/sniper, and squad leader. After six years enlisted I was chosen to go down the path to become an officer where I spent the rest of my Army career on Sand Hill, “Home of the Infantry” as an Executive Officer and Commander for an Infantry training unit…getting our new Infantryman ready to put boot to ass in Baghdad and the Korengal. I also served for a short time as a public affairs officer and assistant military science instructor. After retiring from the Army and receiving my BA and MA I went on to receive my JD. I have written several scholarly and journal articles on the problems facing veterans in terms of transitioning from the military to civilian lifestyle, especially the academic environment. I have spoken on national legal panels addressing PTSD and TBI in the academic environment and have written a book on transition. I’m also involved with several projects out of the Philadelphia area to promote successful veteran to civilian re-assimilation as well as other veteran focused projects. I am a character, I don’t have a fuckin filter, I have no problem shuttin people down when they sound stupid and I have a diverse background. From growing up in inner city Philly to living on the edge of the Poconos to everything in-between I have a unique perspective. I’ve been knee deep in shit.
