WHO OR WHAT IS DMSO?

A New York Times editorial published on April 3, 1965 called DMSO "the closest thing to a wonder drug produced in the 1960's".  Mike Wallace of 60 minutes fame did not 1 but 2 stories about the healing properties of this 'wonder drug!'  So why is it still the best kept secret in the world?  Why doesn't the so called mainstream medical establishment not want the public to know about this topical pain killer that vaquishes pain on contact within 45 seconds!?  Stay tuned to more on this underground pain releiver.
