Generosity & Community: Goddess & Women's Dances in E. Europe w/Laura Shannon

Laura Shannon, founding director of the non-profit Athena Institute for Women's Dance and Culture and Honorary Lifetime Member of the Sacred Dance Guild is with me tonight discussing "Generosity and Community: The Worldview of Goddess in Wwomen's Dances of Eastern Europe."  We'll discuss the history of the dance, going back to the Neolithic and how these ritual dances are connected to Goddess and the values they perpetuate.  We'll discuss the inherent therapeutic and healing qualities of the dance  and delve into if the dances are associated with a particular religion.
