Tune in tonight as Starhawk is with me to discuss the need for peaceful resistance and  her book, and soon to be produced movie, The Fifth Sacred Thing.  For those who might not know about Starhawk's book, we'll delve into the story and why it is so relevant considering the politics and spirituality of today.

In the second half of the show, Associate Professor Malgorzata Oleszkiewicz-Peralba will discuss her book, The Black Madonna in Latin America and Europe: Tradition and Transformation.  We'll be delve into her research on Our Lady of Czestochowa in Poland, Guadalupe in Mexico and Yemaya and Aparecida in Brazil.  We'll talk about syncretism of these Madonnas.  Unofficial Saints are on our agenda: Sara La Kali, Santa Muerte and the Divine Fierce Feminine: demonized, sweetened, ridiculed and dismissed.  Time permitting we'll chat about Baba Yaga in Slavic Culture and Pombagira of Brazil.
