Edie Weinstein chats with David Christopher about The Holy Universe and The Blending of Science and Spirit

We will be exploring the whys and wherefores of  “a book that translates the cold scientific facts of the Universe into a soulful story of creation that is reminiscent of the style of story the author grew up with that honors and explores the mysteries of the Universe—but also confronts the challenges humanity faces.

The Holy Universe came to him “as a fictional dialogue between a Seeker and his Sage, as they go through the unfolding of the Universe—from the Beginning of All Beginnings, to the creation of Earth and the emergence of human beings, all the way to our present-day crises, spurring humanity toward what the Sage calls the “Great Transformation”—the enormous global changes we are now facing as a species.”

David Christopher is an award-winning author who left behind corporate and airline careers to pursue his passion for exploring our place in the Universe, and to help bring forth a new story for our turbulent times.

For the past fifteen years he has immersed himself in the works of scientists and thinkers such as Brian Swimme , Elisabet Sahtouris, James Lovelock, and many others.

He wrote The Holy Universe for people like him who call themselves “spiritual but not religious,” who are trying to make sense of the world, and who seek a meaningful path through the global crises we collectively face.

The Holy Universe was a Silver winner for the 2014 Nautilus Book Awards in the Religion and Spirituality category (http://theholyuniverse.com/nautilus-book-award/ ).
