Vince will be joined tonight by drummer Simone White. Simone picked up his first pair of sticks at the young age of 5. By the age of 14 he was playing locally in the San Francisco scene, while doing small tours with jazz groups. The eclectic nature of the San Francisco music scene meant that Simone had to learn to play a variety of musical styles. His range and versatility landed him gigs with such artists as George Clinton, Mark Eitzel, Midnight Voices, Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, and Michael Franti & Spearhead. Simone’s drumming is very groove driven but, being a lover of all music, splashes of different styles resonate in his playing. Simone is currently living in Sydney, Australia with his wife and working on several recording projects. We will chat with Simone about his long illustrious career in music and play some tracks that he has appeared on.
