Today's topic We’ll be discussing Alan Jacobson's years of research with the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (of Criminal Minds’ and Silence of the Lambs’ fame). Alan has worked extensively with two of the profilers while writing the FBI Profiler Karen Vail series in order to understand why the serial killers do what they do, and how the profilers help catch them. We’ll also talk about his research time on Alcatraz, the FBI profiling seminars and forensics training programs he attended, the work he did with undercover agents at the Drug Enforcement Administration, and more. ALAN JACOBSON is the National Bestselling Author of seven critically acclaimed thrillers. His two decades of research and training with the FBI, DEA, Marshals Service, Scotland Yard, and SWAT have helped shape the stories he tells and the characters that populate his novels. His books have made numerous “Top 10 Best Books of the Year” lists and five have been optioned by Hollywood. His latest thriller, Hard Target, has been called “A terrific thriller” by Lee Child, of Jack Reacher fame. Web: www.AlanJacobson.com. Facebook: www.Facebook.com/AlanJacobsonFans.
