FREE of all charges. THAT is what the Blood of Christ Jesus did for us, so we should not treat it lightly that He delivered us from all sin, making us blameless [ justifying us] before the Father. His GRACE, meaning now UN-merited favor has done this for us, for we are saved by GRACE, NOT WORKS.  So our salvation is not based on how good we can try to be, or how much we do for Him. Our rewards ARE based on that. But salvation is soley by His GRACE alone. There is no other way to heaven but through JESUS. If we could enter heaven by just trying to do some good works, then we would not have needed a Savior, and His blood would be worthless. But all sin must be atoned for by a blood offering, since Adam and Eve sinned and God had to slay an animal to cover them.  Atonement means covering.

The misuse of the word “covering” abounds. We don’t need a “covering” [smothering covering] when JESUS is our “covering”. No man can be that to us.  If you tell me I need a prayer covering, yes I certainly do.  But the blood did the same for me as it did for any other human being, it covered all my sins that are confessed to Him, since I repented and turned to HIM to be my TRUST, my Everything, my Savior.
