Erik McCall Interview with Warren Michaels

 

Erik was born in Paisley, Scotland in 1977 and started playing the guitar in 1993.  The first song I ever learned to play was "More Than Words" by Extreme.

 

He decided to start tutoring the guitar in 2007 and during those sessions he met Amy Mackinnon and Hugh Higgins who were to be invaluable in the set up of EASE.  The group formed in May 2008 during the recording of "It Takes Time".  Hugh has subsequently left the band so there is only Amy and Erik in the group.

 

The style of EASE is varied, from Scottish Celtic to Folk and a little bit of rock in the middle but always with a little fun.  The last recoded song was "Relinquished Love" in July 2010.

 

Erik has been devoting time to management of EASE and his solo project "Erik's Own" and promoting their music wherever he can.  He also set up his own management and publishing companies.
