Part of the bank bailout legislation required a one time audit of the Federal Reserve System. It was completed by the Government Accounting Office (GAO) in 2011 and the report was finally released in the fall of 2011. It contain several little known actions of the Fed during the banking crisis and we will be exploring the report and the actions of the Fed going forward.
