Today we will begin a two-part discussion about the identity crisis in the African-American village (community). We want to create a dialogue this week that addresses issues related to our intra-racial struggle with complexion, hair texture, eye color, etc. Where do we get it from? How we address it with our elders and children? We want to have a fundamental discussion that provides our listeners and followers with a premise for introspection and redefining ourselves as African Americans with a sense of natural pride. Our guest is Katrice Mines, editor of the Atlanta Tribune Magazine (www.atlantatribune.com)
