Philippo Franchini is a world-renowned musician who is a pioneer in bringing Nada Yoga to the West. He has been called the Ram Das of meditative music. Ram Das made meditation popular in the 70’s via his book, Be Here Now, and Philippo is bringing Nada Yoga to the West via his CD, Magic & Grace…which, you could say, is the result of being here now for three decades! Philippo is 1/3 yogi, 1/3 rock star, and 1/3 Pied Piper; an Innertainer whom audiences love to follow as he creates an atmosphere of “Om Sweet Om” wherever he goes. Philippo is based in Los Angeles, CA. However, you’ll have to roll up your yoga mat and put on your running shoes to keep up with his travel schedule. He is in high demand as he performs throughout America, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. You will find him dazzling audiences at yoga retreats, kirtan colleges and in traditional music venues everywhere. By and large an instrumental album, Magic and Grace also features evocative vocals by singer Donna De Lory on two tracks.Currently living in Los Angeles, Philippo has performed at the Bhakti Fest, House of Blues, the Kodak Theatre, BB King’s and Santa Cruz Civic, Esalen Institute, Omega Institute, Kripalu Yoga Center, and will be a featured performer at the upcoming Milan International Yoga Festival in October, as well as many clubs and festivals all over the world. Fans have heard his music live in the States and Canada, Dubai, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, England, Spain, and Egypt. He tours regularly with David Newman and Shaman’s Dream and has played and recorded with Jillian Speer, Jennifer Barragan, the Persian singer Siavesh Ghomayshi, DJ Andy Caldwell and Suzanne Teng. His music compositions have been used in several films, including Mean Girls (2004) and Desperately Seeking Paul McCartney (2008). For more info on Philippo, visit www.MagicandGrace.ning.com
