Pets, Breast Cancer, and Dignity. My guest this week, Brenda Jones is versed in all three. An animal lover since childhood, she began her career as a veterinary tech for 10 plus years and then transitioned her life to supporting pets and their people companions as a pet sitter almost 30 years ago. Along the way she has some great stories about how our pet companions make a difference in our daily lives and how they seem to rally around us when we need them the most. She shares her experience with Breast Cancer and how she took that experience and created "Hug Wraps" to provide some dignity and comfort for Cancer patients... Someone who understands that living life is not just surviving!

This weeks blogs...

What a busy Week and Month... November 1-12 is National Animal Shelter Appreciation week... Ok, when did a week become 12 days? November is also National Adopt a Senior Pet Month and we have created a little contest for those of you who have adopted a senior pet. With the holidays coming up and everybody in full swing with Iams Home for the Holidays, we take a look at introducing additional pets into the home. Finally, while canine massage sounds like a luxury, we learn the therapeutic benefits of canine massage. So celebrate with a whole family spa day!

--- About Behind the Curtain: In the "Wizard of OZ" there was a man behind the curtain who showed people that they already had everything they needed and desired... We've created a BlogTalkRadio program where our guests include those hero's and champions who dedicate themselves to make a difference with people and our animal companions. Most of these organizations are well known and make amazing differences in their communities, but the people behind the curtain, those that spend countless hours, often don't seek the spotlight and we want to share their stories and passion with you.
