April is Alcohol Awareness Month.  Each April since 1987, the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) has sponsored Alcohol Awareness Month to increase public awareness and understanding, reduce stigma and encourage local communities to focus on alcoholism and alcohol-related issues.

Today, We will be sharing with Justin Sharpe, Director of Prevention Services, Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center with focus on the events that are planned for Alcohol Awareness Month.   We will be highlighting the 12th Annual Operation Flag: DWI Display that will be held at Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center on April 4th, 2016 at 11:00 am in recognition of Alcohol Awareness Month, the flags symbolize the number of DWIs in Mecklenburg County in order to raise awareness of the dangers alcohol can pose not only behind the wheel, but health concerns as well.  Food will be provided.

This event will be held at 100 Billingsley Rd Charlotte NC 28211 (704) 376-7447 http://www.anuvia.org/index.php
