The Mom Account

Because this is mother’s Day. I’m going to focus on how to strengthen the Mom account. Is your mom account overdrawn, out of balance, nonexistent?  Relationships with moms  are often complex and diverse. Some adult children  are best friends with their moms talking weekly, if not daily. Some spar regularly. Some avoid conflict. Others talk through everything and others share nothing. And undoubtedly, there’s a hint of all these things in most relationships. Invariably there are ups and downs, no matter how positive (or prickly) the relationship. If there are complaints  they usually fall in  one of these  categories , You see your mom as still trying to parent you , or they  are overly critical  or too demanding. From moms’ perspective, if they are complaining about their adult children- they don’t listen to them, make poor choices and have no time for them.
