In 1986, Tahiera began working in the Film Business, first with a talk show called “The World of Issues”, and then as an Assistant Casting Director. She worked on over 50 major motion pictures in and around the Atlanta area. She started working on major television shows and movie projects in 1988. This was after being released from the hospital where she recuperated after being in a coma. The experienced resulted in her having amnesia. She still suffers from amnesia to this day. She can’t remember ever attending High School. Much of what she remembers as a child and as an adult after High School is somewhat a blur. By the same token, some of what she remembers is as clear as the day that it happened, including the nightmare that she writes about in her book. She refers to Annihilator of Innocence as “a scream” and not a catharsis.
