"The End of the World" ... as we know it.I mean, isn't there an old 1950's movie-type atmosphere developing around this whole coronavirus thing ...?

In the last few years, we've had several serious global "epidemic outbreaks" -- H1N1, SARS, MERS, even Ebola ... but I don't remember (and the Google machine doesn't either ...)

--A world-wide "anticipatory financial panic" around any of these earlier outbreaks!

Or, with less than a hundred cases -- and only one death -- in a nation of more than three hundred million people, such a rush (and almost eagerness) to plan for future nation-wide "quarantine zones," "rationed shopping hours," and even "militarily-restricted travel!
