Forget what you've been told, or what you have been thinking all this time about Verification on twitter. Until recently I was an @Twitter @Verified account holder. Then about 3 weeks ago it was removed after without explanation etc. Well I tried to contact them it's easier contacting President Obama than Twiiter Support and/or some one who can deal with your issue.
