Love; The Answer and Purpose of Life

We all were made to absorb and give love. When we don't love, and when we don't receive love, we are not complete as a human being. Hate and resentment destroys the soul. But love makes us feel alive and when we are with the object of our love, we feel happiness as God has designed it. Love brings peace, contentment, and self fulfillment.  We were made to be happy but that happiness is based on loving each other and loving God. There is no real happiness or fulfillment unless we express love to one another and God. That's why Jesus said that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength and To Love your neighbor as yourself. The beauty of following Jesus is His constant challenge for us, to love.Even loving our enemies. I want to talk today about love from the perspective of why we don't see much "Jesus Love" in the church and world.
