We all face temptations. We can't avoid them because they are part of who we are. Sometimes we manange not to give in. Sometimes we are caught off guard or delibertly walk into them. In either case our weaknesses can pull us into dertuctive behavior where we hurt others and ourselves. It's no wonder the bible talks so much about forgiveness. We all need to forgive and be forgiving, because of our falling into temptations. We can actually be committing sin, or allowing our temptations to run over us, and at the same time desiring not to do them. One of the greatest writers of the New Teatament, Apostle Paul, had this struggle in the Book of Romans Chapter 7. But there is good news we can insulate ourselves before our temptations show up with a better understanding of God's Word, a devoted prayer life, and our willingness to submit constantly to the Holy Spirit. Let's talk about it on Todays Word.
