A Churches Becoming A Force Against Violence and Saving Lives.

The faith community has the greatest claims of all organizations. But do they really believe their own claims? Our neighborhoods are being taken captive by drugs, gangs, violence, and Black on Black murder. We have already lost a generation. A large percentage of these murders are within a 2 mile radius (and some closer) of churches. Yet, the violence and drug trafficking continues. Churches, for the most part, have been passive yet they claim "with God all things are possible". They say they "can do all things through Christ, who strengthens them. Preachers preach "God is able". So, if this is true, where are the churches in the War of Violence? Well, despite a passive resistance of most churches, there is good news. A new church based violence prevention and intervention model is being implemented in Ferguson. It's called The Joshua Project. On todays show, I will discuss how the model works.
