Well, the saying has never been more true than when speaking about the mega voice and talent of Amayé. Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Amayé is poised to take her place among R&B’s finest. She first took an interest in singing when she joined her church choir at the tender age of 2. Her passion was enhanced by growing up listening to Toni Braxton, the Temptations, Anita Baker, and the late Michael Jackson. Amayé honed her skills as a dancer by attending Baltimore School of the Arts and performing in Baltimore City and the surrounding areas with the dance companies, A Time to Dance and Nancy Romita and the Moving Company. In 2005, Amayé began attending North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. There, she joined a local band as the lead singer and performed all around North Carolina. With an increasing fan base, Amayé is ready to venture out on her own with her developed unique performance style combining her background as a trained dancer with a powerful voice.
