House Democrats Blame Republicans for Small Business Relief Delays

House Democrats have said that they do not plan to return to work from their spring recess until at least May 4th, “absent an emergency” that requires Members to return to Washington, D.C. — and they are claiming that Republicans are the ones holding up additional coronavirus relief for small businesses. New York Times Executive Editor Dean Baquet attempted to defend his paper’s decision to wait 19 days to report the sexual assault allegation against Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, claiming this allegation was different than those against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
