God gave Samson amazing ability and strength. In these chapters it appears that when Samson is personally moved, his gifts are manifested with great power. It seems to me that Samson took for granted his amazing gift that God gave him.  After all, he was chosen to be the strongest man perhaps ever in the history of the world. Yet it was passion toward women that awoken something in him, not appreciation or worship toward God...at least, that is the way it seems, when you read about his life in the Bible.

Did God know what it took to rouse Samson, and that's why it says He was involved in Samson's request of his parents?
