The Global Economic Crisis

We have grown content and comfortable at watching the world go by from the shelter of our home, there was a time that communities were able to get together and stand strong, that neighbor would look out for neighbor, the time when American values actually meant something, a time when all of the things that are happening now in this country would have been looked on with shame and disgust and people would have stood up for what is right...was that so long ago that we have forgotten what our country stands for? Was it so long ago that we only look at it as a dream or a false image? something that cannot and could not have ever been? There was a time when being a man of your word meant something and people judged you by your ability to stand for your beliefs and to not go back on your word because your word was who you were and if a man did not have his word he was no one you could trust.
