The Two Wings of a Great Eagle

Is there a prophetic reason why the United States sometimes appears to be "flying" in the opposite direction of Europe?

The book of Daniel and the book of Revelation both use symbolism that represents the nations of the last days. The two wings of an eagle are torn off of a lion in Daniel 7. Each of the symbols which are presented in Daniel chapter 7 is found again in Revelation chapter 13.

The behavior of nations can change considerably depending on who the current leaders are. Such was the case with Egypt.
