This show is a direct follow up to our last re: Lyme Disease. Susan R. Green and Monte Skall will join us to discuss the legalities of Lyme and what legal hoops doctors must jump just to treat according to the established protocol. Susan R. Green is instrumental in passing legislation to protect Doctors who are simply trying to treat their patients. Susan joined us for our last show but you should know that this show is about her expertise! If you loved her as we all did on our last show... you will be blown away by what she has to say on this one!! Remember that she authored what would serve to be the foundation and ultimately became Virginia HB1933, The Lyme Patient Information Disclosure Bill. The Bill requires physicians in Virginia to advise patients of the inaccuracy of the two-tier antibody test currently being used by most commercial labs.

Monte Skall, is a National Advocate who has lobbied, educated and testified in front of Congress.
Monte Skall is the Executive Director of the National Capital Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Association (NatCapLyme), a non-profit organization dedicated to Lyme and tick-borne education, prevention, research and patient support. Bitten by a tick in 1991, it took seven years and over a dozen doctors, including a trip to the Mayo Clinic, before Monte was diagnosed and treated. For the last 15 years, she has fought for the rights of Lyme patients; a journey that has made her a nationally recognized leader in the Lyme patient advocacy community. In 2011, she helped form NatCapLyme and under her guidance and leadership, the organization has grown to include chapters throughout Virginia, and in Maryland, North Carolina and the District of Columbia.
