A few weeks ago Leroy Barber, founder of the Voices Project (#nflkneeldown) joined me and my Dad for brunch to talk about the NFL and just how significant Colin Kaepernick’s “taking a knee” really is.  Yesterday, the President of the United States, referred to the men who take a knee during the singing of the national anthem as “sons of bitches”…this is just the beginning.  Leroy Barber has dedicated more than 28 years to eradicating poverty, confronting homelessness, restoring local neighborhoods, healing racism, and living what Dr. King called “the beloved community.”  And, the fight continues...
