Summer in February... BCSO Gala on 2/29 will celebrate 70 years as an orchestra. Also we honor Bob Peterson of 70 years with BCSO. He’s a Founding Family along with Hunters, Purdons, Cathers, Kreinkes, Johnson’s.

Four great maestros. Choice is going to be terribly difficult because they’re all young and brilliant and WILDLY talented.  Rehearsals (and the two concerts so far) have been amazing and A GAME CHANGER thanks to these guys and that is our focus on the future!

The gala is sponsored by NEFT vodka, Hermosa Beach Rotary, AAMCOM, Realtor Michele Brown and other local families & we will have a specialty cocktail for the evening using NEFT.

Walk-up music for gala arrival will be strings from our BCSO.

Everyone gets sit down dinner and dessert, hors d’oeuvres, plus dancing, music provided by Steve Curto and Scott Fleetwood, South Bay music locals. Everyone gets one free drink ticket, (all non-alc drinks including coffee etc are free)- more adult bevy tix are $5 (beer, wine, cocktail).

The Gala will be hosted at Alta Vista Community Center, 715 Julia Ave in South Redondo (corner of Camino Real & S Juanita)

Let’s build our audience and get the next generations interested in some of the most amazing music ever created. Hopefully we will inspire the next generation to write more new “classics.”
