Anna Wilding: Celebrate Hope

Our guest this morning is Anna Wilding.

Anna has been cited as iconic for both her work on screen and behind the lens as a director and photographer, as well as writer, producer, actress, and comedian. As a photographer, she was based at the White House from 2015 to 2017, during the Obama administration. Her photographs have received wide critical acclaim - her prints of the Obama White House hang in private collections on both coasts and have been featured in magazines, newspapers, and television, including Variety, Herald de Paris, and Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The Palos Verdes Art Center will host the Opening Reception: Anna Wilding: Celebrate Hope – Photographs of the Obama White House on Saturday, June 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. Attendees will experience the "People's House" through rare images of First Lady Michelle Obama and President Barack Obama as they inhabit the West and East Wings.

This morning, we’re going to learn about Anna’s experience at the White House and what it was like photographing the most powerful couple in the world.
