Our guests this morning are Chief Keith Kauffman and Sgt. Jeff Mendence from the Redondo Beach Police Department and musician, Bobby Cochran from the Youth Battle of the Bands.

Bobby Cochran, lead guitarist, singer, writer and producer, was influenced at an early age by his uncle Eddie Cochran. He set his aim on becoming master guitarist and went on to work with many prominent groups, including Steppenwolf, the Flying Burrito Bros., Leon Russell, Bob Weir and more. In addition, Bobby’s writing and production work has encompassed motion pictures, videos and television.

Chief Keith Kauffman started his career in law enforcement in 1994 with the City of Hawthorne. His experience encompassed an array of assignments including patrol, gangs, narcotics, SWAT and more.

Sergeant Jeff Mendence has been an officer with the Redondo Beach Police Department for 20 years.  He has worked patrol assignments as both an officer and watch commander.

This morning we’ll learn what attendees can expect at the FREE Youth Battle of the Bands concert presented by the Redondo Beach Police Department and Beachlife Festival taking place on Friday, February 8 at 6 p.m. at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center.
