Janne Kouri, Founder of NextStep

Our guest this morning is Janne Kouri, Founder, and President of NextStep, Disability Activist and Entrepreneur. Janne is an accomplished entrepreneur, business development leader, philanthropist, investor, an active speaker.                               

He is the President and Founder of NextStep, an award-winning, a nationally recognized non-profit organization that provides the opportunity for life-long health and recovery for people suffering from paralysis.

On August 5, 2006, Janne’s life changed in an instant when he broke his neck diving into the ocean in Manhattan Beach.  Janne was left paralyzed from the neck down and doctors told him that he had no hope for recovery and that he would never walk again. Since his injury, Janne has dedicated his life to bettering the lives of people suffering from paralysis.Janne has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Prior to NextStep.   

Janne was the recipient of Brunswick School's 2013 Distinguished Alumni Award.
