Jocelyn Lopez, Lunada Bay Market & Deli

Our guest this morning is Jocelyn Lopez, owner of the new Lunada Market & Deli.

Jocelyn brings more than just food to the forefront — she has plans to extend her family table to the community, making every customer feel at home when they enter the Market.  This is already happening as she can be found exchanges recipes with her new extended neighborhood family.  Jocelyn relishes that her vision has come to fruition - old acquaintances reunite and new friendships appear sporadically all over the Market on a daily basis.  She is known to the children in the community as “the kindness lady” as she helps teach character education at the local schools and even finds time to throw in some science experiments as teaching modules.  Jocelyn feels lucky to have received such a warm welcome and looks forward to serving the community as she rolls out the Market in phases.  Next up will be the introduction of a juice and smoothie bar, made to order sandwiches and salads, poke bar, increased deli selection, take and bake meals, and then a full cafe with a rotating breakfast, lunch and dinner menu prepared from seasonal products. 

This morning, we’re going to hear all about this much anticipated new shopping venue on the hill.
