Our guests this morning are Stan Sharp and Lauren Mayhew, two of the artists who will be performing in the charity concert From Classic to Rock which will benefit Palos Verdes public schools.

Stan Sharp is an active performing cellist and has played with many symphony organizations: Los Angeles Philharmonic, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, Pacific Symphony, New West Symphony, Santa Barbara Symphony and Opera Pacific with well-known conductors including Simon Rattle, John Williams and Yuri Temirkanov. Stan has recorded extensively for numerous Hollywood Motion Picture sound tracks with top film composers, including John Williams, Hans Zimmer, James Horner, Jerry Goldsmith, Danny Elfman and many others. Furthermore, 

Lauren Mayhew is an American actress and singer, and a born entertainer. Signed to Epic Sony as a teenager, Mayhew has toured the world with Britney Spears, Destiny's Child, and even opened for Aerosmith at the Super Bowl! Lauren has starred in feature films and TV shows such as Showtime's "Dexter," Universal's "American Pie: Band Camp," and "CSI." 

From Classic to Rock features rock stars and classical musicians coming together for an epic evening of music on Saturday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Norris Theater in Rolling Hills Estates. In addition to Lauren and Stan, the evening will feature the Stone Temple Pilots, Gary Wright, Chas West, Marten Anderssen, Yutong and Chester Bennington from Linkin Park.
