This morning, our guests are Michael Hudak and Idris Jassim Al-Oboudi and they’re going to tell us about the upcoming Manhattan Beach Open Tennis Tournament.

A nationally and internationally recognized Recreation and Parks professional and public speaker, Idris Jassim Al-Oboudi is a highly motivated, energetic, passionate leader with vision and a pragmatic approach to recreation issues and needs. He has developed programs that deliver quality recreation services in a cost-efficient manner and is committed to enhancing and preserving a high quality of life through a wide variety of leisure, cultural and community services in well-maintained facilities. Idris has 33 years of progressive experience in administrative and supervisory capacities.

Michael Hudak is a local kid, born and raised in the City of Whittier. He attended California State University at Long Beach and completed his master’s degree in Sport Management and bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies.  Michael has worked in the Recreation and Leisure field for the last nine years and during this time he’s had the opportunity to work with some great recreational programs and organizations, ranging from youth as young as 5 to seniors as old as 95, and with youth playing their first ever organized game, all the way up to professional athletes.

Presented by the City of Manhattan Beach and Skechers, the Manhattan Beach Open Tennis Open will take place July 7 through July 10.
