Senior Care with Laurie Glover

Our guest this morning is Laurie Glover from Silverado.

Laurie joined the Silverado Beach Cities team with years of experience working with older adults and their families who are dealing with the life changing diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias.

She began her career in the aging field by providing care to both of her grandparents as they faced terminal illnesses. After this experience, she began providing care to community members and attending college to become a nurse. Realizing her strengths lay in education and community outreach, Laurie transitioned into business development and has since become a speaker for the Los Angeles Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, a member of the Keep-Safe Coalition and a volunteer for hospice. Her passion and expertise in dementia and aging issues is apparent throughout all of her endeavors. Most recently, Laurie has headed the Health and Wellness Committee of the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce, where she sits on the Board of Directors.

A lifelong resident of the South Bay, Laurie enjoys spending time with her two daughters, and outdoor activities including hiking, gardening, wine tasting and riding bikes at the beach.”

This morning, we’re going to learn about the services Silverado offers and the role they play in the health and wellness of the community.
