Our guests this morning are Kelly Stroman of the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association, Lauren Alexander of Dacha Interiors,  Sis Noukhay of Greigh Goods and Licia Banks of Licia B. Jewelry.

Kelly Stroman is the Executive Director of the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association and is a regular contributor to this program. Every business in DTMB belongs to the Association, including the Farmers Market and it is Kelly’s responsibility to make DTMB an attractive place to shop, dine, play and stay. She has lived in MB for 17 years and has two teenage boys.

Licia Banks entered the jewelry business right out of high school.  Beginning in sales, she gradually transitioned to Sales Closer, Manager, and ultimately a Buyer and Designer for several fine jewelry stores both in Portland, OR and Los Angeles.

Sisongfa (Sis song fa) Noukhay (Nu kai)is the owner of Greigh Goods. Sis is an American designer of Laotian and Hmong descent. Her fascination with design began early — she hand stitched outfits for her dolls and then moved on to more elaborate creations for herself in her teens.

Lauren Alexander is the owner of Dacha Interiors. Born and raised in Marin County, Lauren migrated to Los Angeles three years ago from New York to work with celebrity interior designer Kelly Wearstler as director of her flagship boutique in West Hollywood.

This morning, we’re going to talk about this weekend’s Sidewalk Sale and a few businesses that have recently made downtown Manhattan Beach their new home.
