L.A. D-Fenders Basketball

Our guest this morning is Benny Garcia, Manager of Sales and Service for the LA D-Fenders Basketball team.

Benny Garcia, a Southern California native, attended Whittier College and earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on management. Upon graduation, he began working for the Los Angeles Clippers as an account executive in their sales department. After two seasons with the Clippers, he joined the Los Angeles Sparks where he served as Manager of Sales from 2007-12. Benny left the Sparks in 2012 to join the Lakers family as Manager of Sales and Service for their NBA Development League affiliate, the Los Angeles D-Fenders.

The NBA Development League’s Los Angeles D-Fenders, the first franchise in D-League history to be owned by an NBA team (Los Angeles Lakers), will return for its ninth season of competition in 2015-16. The D-Fenders play home games at Toyota Sports Center; the Lakers practice facility located in El Segundo.
