South Bay Water Agencies

Our guests this morning are Susan Cordone from California Water Service, Charles Gale, Jr. from the Metropolitan Water District and Gus Meza from the West Basin Municipal Water District.

Susan Cordone is the Interim Lead Conservation Coordinator for California Water Service Company’s southern districts. In her drought response role, Susan ensures that Cal Water customers are in compliance with state water conservation regulations. She is responsible for developing, implementing, and tracking conservation programs targeted to residential, commercial and industrial customers in eight of Cal Water’s districts. . 

With nearly 25 years of legislative experience, Charles Gale Jr. currently works as a Principal Government and Regional Affairs Representative for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, the largest wholesale water agency in the country. 

Gus Meza is the Senior Water Efficiency Specialist for West Basin Municipal Water District.  For the past 15 years, he’s been helping businesses, schools and residents conserve water by developing and providing free programs and incentives.

This morning, we’ll be discussing what these water agencies do, how they work with the Chamber  and local businesses and of course, the current drought and what can, and is, being done to combat it.
