Our guests this morning are Dr. Keller, Dinah Lary, Jim Allen and Lisa Rodriguez - all recipients of this year's Community Awards!

Born in downtown Los Angeles, Dinah Lary has been a Southern California girl her whole life. She moved to the South Bay with her family in 1960 and has been an active member of the community. Dinah has held several volunteer positions in numerous organizations and was the Founding President of the Redondo Beach Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association.

Dr. Steven Keller has spent nearly thirty years in public education He was a middle and high school history and language arts teacher, a middle school assistant principal and principal, a Director of Student Achievement, and an Assistant Superintendent. 

Lisa Rodriguez has a passion for making a difference.   She is dedicated to lifelong learning, personal development and cultivating relationships in social, business, educational, civic, and community realms.  She describes herself as a “Community Advocate”.  

Jim Allen is the Harbor Facilities Manager and has been with the City since the 1990s. Portofino Hotel and all other properties on the waterfront are his expertise.  He has vast institutional knowledge about the leases of every business in this area. 

Dinah is the recipient for this year’s Woman of the Year, Dr. Keller is the Man of the Year, Jim Allen is the City Employee of the Year and Lisa Rodriguez is the Ambassador of the Year.
