Our guests this morning are Dinah Lary and Jeff Melodia.

Born in downtown Los Angeles, Dinah Lary has been a Southern California girl her whole life. She moved to the South Bay with her family in 1960 and has been an active member of the community. Dinah has held several volunteer positions in numerous organizations and was the Founding President of the Redondo Beach Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association. She has been a member of various South Bay Chambers of Commerce and is currently serving as Past Chair of the Board for the Redondo Beach Chamber. She was a graduate and Co-Chair of Leadership Redondo 2004, in addition to being the President of the Redondo Beach Round Table and member of the Lobster Fest Committee.

Jeff Melodia worked in the entertainment industry for over 25 years, primarily at NBC Studios. He lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for most of his life but in 2010 Jeff found his way to the South Bay and made Redondo Beach his home. Once embedded in the Beach City, Jeff launched a new business called Keeping It Local, a company that provides tools and services for locally owned businesses. Jeff’s business and marketing background provided him with the people and communication skills necessary to succeed as V.P. of Business Development.

One of the Redondo Beach Chamber’s Core Values is to promote the community and it was with this in mind that the Chamber became the first major sponsor for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games..
