Our guest this morning is Jim Babylon. Jim retired from the Denver South Metro Fire Rescue in 2011 after 22 years of service.

Currently Jim divides his time between his company Covenant All Risk Consulting and South Metro Fire where he currently works part time as the special operations coordinator.

Jim has been a paramedic since 1996 and in EMS since 1979. He spent nine years working as a paramedic on the streets of Denver.

During the 1990s he served as an instructor for the Domestic Preparedness program for NBC Terorrism. Jim is certified as a Nuclear, Biological & Chemical Terrorism Subject Matter Expert by the Department of the Army.

Some of his work includes the authoring of the Denver-Aurora regional MMRS decontamination standard operating guide, sub-contractor on the Puget Sound regional mass casualty plan and co-author of the state of Maryland EMS triage system training program.

Jim speaks frequently on the subjects of: hazmat, EMS, responding to ultra-violent events and incident management.

He is also a member of the Emergency Volunteer Project.

The EVP provides responders to Israel during national emergencies to allow their responders to fulfill their military obligations.
