Danny Ginsburg, Real Soda in Real Bottles: Leninade for All ! (encore)

Our guest this morning is Danny Ginsburg.

Danny is the proprietor of Torrance based Real Soda in Real Bottles.

When Danny was in high school, he began buying sodas in glass returnable bottles in other cities so that he could keep adding to his bottle cap collection at a time when Los Angeles bottlers had discontinued virtually everything in glass.

He started by bringing a few bottles along for his own consumption and soon had an entourage of friends and acquaintances who asked him to provide them with these “old-fashioned” sodas.

That was the start of his life-long passion for real soda in real bottles.

In 1991, Danny applied for a business license with the City Of Rancho Palos Verdes and the corporation Real Soda In Real Bottles, Ltd. was formed the following year.

Real Soda in Real Bottles distributes thousands of unique, small batch sodas from around the country and in 1997 they began to manufacture beverages under their own label.

Perhaps the most successful of these soda experiments is the LENINADE whose label Danny had drawn initially as a joke in his Russian language class in 1987.

LENINADE’s popularity has made it into the first percentile of sales of all beverages in REAL SODA IN REAL BOTTLES’ portfolio and has thus achieved the status of ‘The Soda of The People ‘.
