Our guests this morning are Michael Zislis of The Zislis Group and Kelly Stroman of the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association.

Michael Zislis – a frequent and favorite guest here on the show – is a South Bay native and the brain trust behind The Zislis Group.

Michael is the also the guy behind the fashionable boutique hotel, Shade Manhattan Beach, and the new Shade Redondo Beach which is under construction as we speak.

Kelly Stroman, another of our favorite guests, is the Executive Director of the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association and is a regular contributor to this program.

Every business in DTMB belongs to the Association, including the Farmers Market and it is Kelly’s responsibility to make DTMB an attractive place to shop, dine, play and stay. She has lived in MB for 15 years and has two teenage boys attending Mira Costa High School.

Kelly spent years volunteering within the public school system and raising money for the MB Education Foundation and she describes her current position as a fruitful combination of everything she has ever worked in or volunteered for.

She is passionate about keeping DTMB inviting to locals, Southern Californians and travelers from afar.

Kelly and Michael were responsible for putting everything in place for the LA Kings South Bay Stanley Cup Parade that took place in the Beach Cities on June 18 and this morning, they’re going to give us the back story on exactly how that came about.
