Our guest this morning is Chelsea Hogan.

Chelsea is a Museum Educator with eight years of experience teaching diverse audiences in a variety of museums in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and Upstate New York.

She is currently an Education Specialist at ESMoA, where she designs and implements programming for this dynamic new art laboratory.

Though mainly involved in planning and executing School and Adult programs, she also curated the memorable June 15th, 2013 body painting installation “Objectified” and planned and MC’ed 2 Elvis tribute artist shows in connection to ESMoA’s FAME Experience.

Chelsea was a Gallery Teacher at the Getty Villa from 2009-2012 where she taught programs based on the antiquities collection for K-12 schools, families, adult learners, and the general public.

Some of her key projects there included gallery courses on portraiture and Modern Art, touch tours for blind/low vision groups, and interactive, activity-based programs for adults.

Chelsea earned her M.A.T. in Museum Education from George Washington University while also working as an educator in a variety of Washington D.C. museums. She completed her Bachelors degree in Art History from Ithaca College in 2005.

In her spare time, she can be seen performing in the improv comedy House Team “The Audience” at MI’s Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica.

This morning, Chelsea is going to give us all the details on Experience 11: SCRATCH opening this weekend at ESMoA.
