Our guests this morning are Eric Hartman and Steve Johnson, board members of the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair.

Steve is currently the acting president of the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair, an organization that he has been involved with one way or another since its origins 41 years ago.

He has been on the Board of directors for 13 years where he has held many different positions: Community Showcase Chair, Food Booth Chair, he created and developed the Wine Garden and the Stroller & Bike Valet, managed the South Stage, was a member at large of the Executive Board, as well as Vice-President.

Steve is a fourth generation Manhattan Beach native and when he’s not spending time planning the fair or at work, he can be found with his wife of 27 years and his two children enjoying all that Manhattan Beach has to offer.

Eric is a third generation Manhattan Beach native and has been on the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair Board of directors for 7 years.

Eric first worked handling Traffic and Security, spent three years running the Beer Garden and currently serves as the Publicity Chair and South Stage Manager.

He has been to every Hometown Fair since they started and wanted to help preserve the tradition and give back to his community.

Eric is married with two children and is proud to serve with the other 19 members of the Hometown Fair Board.
