Our guest this morning is Michael Jackson.

Michael is running for the District Two City Council seat in Redondo Beach.

He is married, has four children and is a Redondo Beach homeowner.

Michael earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in History and English from California State University.

He currently serves as Chairman of the Redondo Beach Harbor Commission and is Vice President of The Dardanelle Group.

Michael has over 25 years of corporate experience and spent ten of those years with The Boeing Company.

In this capacity, he represented the company's legislative and political interests. This included leading legislative advocacy campaigns on transportation, the environment and energy policy, as well as supporting business development efforts for critical space and defense programs.

Before joining Boeing, he spent fifteen years working for TRW in a variety of capacities. These included serving in TRW's Washington, DC office, where he was responsible for leading company-wide lobbying on aerospace industry issues.

He served as Chairman of the Board for the California Manufacturer’s & Technology Association and has held numerous statewide industry trade board positions.
