Our guest this morning is Michael Franks and we are very excited to have him on the program.
Michael was born in London and is a graduate of a hotel management school where he studied the finer points of table service and hospitality.
Michael and his partner, Chef Robert Bell, have known each other for over 30 years and it is an irrefutable fact that they are single handedly responsible for paving the way for the South Bay’s burgeoning food scene.
In 2008, Chez Melange moved to its current location in the heart of Riviera Village where Michael integrated his most recent dining venture, Bouzy Gastropub, which is located in the front room of the Chez Melange space.
Chez Melange is involved in numerous charitable events throughout Southern California, they established the ‘Young Chefs LA’ competition and at one point offered a course at UCLA entitled “Starting Your Own Restaurant”.
