CHEF BERNIE GUZMAN

Chef Bernie Guzman started cooking at the young age of five, as a latchkey child. He was born and raised in Stockton, California, but always dreamed of "going somewhere," like the cars on the freeway across from his house. In 1985 he moved to Hollywood, having outgrown the small town and set out to make his mark in the culinary world. His background includes kitchen management, menu development, staff training and supervision, party and event planning, and many other areas, but his expertise is in the preparation of all types of cuisines. Chef Guzman formerly worked for: Mary J. Blige, working in all of the above areas, plus overseeing her weight loss program; for Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, coordinating culinary operations over three estates; as Catering Chef for Wolfgang Puck restaurants; and as Sous Chef at Hard Rock Cafe in Los Angeles. Currently he is seen on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," as Adrienne Maloof and husband, Dr. Paul Nassif's private chef with facial expressions that never lie, and an opinion on everything.
